Thompson returns to the chamber as vice president of marketing and program development

The Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Brenda Thompson will join the chamber as Vice President of Marketing and Program Development.
In her new role, she will lead all marketing and communications efforts for the chamber, including the development and implementation of an integrated marketing strategy, member-led communications, website and outreach programs. social media. Thompson will also play a lead role in planning and implementing chamber programs designed to benefit and improve member engagement.
“This is a huge win for the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce and the Lancaster County business community,” said John McCain, chamber president and CEO. “Brenda’s extensive bedroom experience, combined with her marketing executive experience, is the perfect fit for our team.”
Thompson arrives at the Lancaster County Economic Development Department chamber, where she managed all marketing and communications programs.
Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of Memberships and Marketing at the York County Chamber and for three years at the Lancaster County Chamber (2016-19) as Director of Memberships.
Thompson served as Vice President of Marketing and Director of Training for Provident Community Bank in Rock Hill for seven years, where she managed all marketing and training initiatives for the bank.
“Brenda brings an impressive portfolio of experience to the chamber, she is already well known and highly respected by the Lancaster County business community,” said chamber board chair Pamela Trimnal.

Thompson, a Rock Hill native and graduate of Winthrop University, lives in Lancaster.
She currently serves on the Red Rose Development Board, Small Business Development Center Advisory Board (2020 & 2021 Chair), Town-Gown Advisory Board, Community Engagement Corps—Heart and Soul, and as a facilitator for NAMI Piedmont Tri County.
