Steve Kerr is a big fan of the Arkansas men’s basketball program and has a specific example for why he believes that.
The Golden State Warriors coach praised former Arkansas star Moses Moody during an appearance on “Dubs Talk.”
“Moses, in many ways, is the most advanced rookie, including James Wiseman,” Kerr said. “…Moses is really far away, just because he has an advanced feel for the game, he has the most experience from James and Jonathan (Kuminga), and plays a full season at Arkansas. Playing for a coaching staff, former NBA coach Eric Musselman, playing games that really mattered, NCAA tournament games, playing in front of 12,000, 15,000 people, all of that matters. I think Moses is at a more developed stage than James and Jonathan, and his game shows he’s quite mature. I’m not afraid to put it out there anytime. So I think Moses is definitely a long-term starter in this league.
Moody played 35 games this season with the Warriors and averaged 9.5 minutes and 3.3 points per game. On Feb. 2, Moody’s posted a career-high 20 points (6-12 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with 7 rebounds and an assist in 37 minutes on Tuesday in the 124-120 win. of Warriors. over Spurs.
No place like Arkansas.
