KMG International (Rompetrol) is launching the 22nd edition of the “Career Ready” program, in which 80 students and young graduates will participate, selected following a complex recruitment process carried out between May and July. For two months, the trainees will follow practical and theoretical modules which will allow them to refine their knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
“For 21 years, our internship program has developed and has become a real response to the Group’s business needs. Over time, we have discovered high-potential high school graduates and students who have become our colleagues and are now performing well in their fields of activity. Together with the mentors, we managed to develop a new learning structure, thanks to which the trainees deepened their knowledge and acquired new skills, which constantly helps us to continue the transfer of knowledge and to develop the specialists whose industry needs,” said Gina Cruceru. , Group Human Resources Director at KMG International (Rompetrol).
The 80 trainees will be assigned to 6 of the KMG International (Rompetrol) group companies – Rompetrol Rafinare, Rominserv, Midia Marine Terminal, Rompetrol Quality Control, Rompetrol Energy and Rompetrol Well Services.
Most of the modules that program participants will delve into will be carried out on site, notably at the Petromidia Năvodari and Vega Ploiești refineries. Alongside the trainees, no less than 40 mentors, specialists in refining, petrochemicals, logistics or utilities.
Online sessions will also be included, in particular for workshops dedicated to the development of soft skills. Thus, the trainees will also go through the “Leaders Explore” program, which includes five online sessions and will also participate in the “Community Challenge” program, in which they will choose a theme of social interest, through which they will be able to bring about a change in the community.
Trainees will receive, at the end of the two months of the program, two certifications: one as a graduate of the Rompetrol “Career Ready” program and one as a graduate of the personal development program, carried out in collaboration with the partners of the Foundation of the leaders. .
Since 2001, the year of the first round of Rompetrol trainees, the “Career Ready” program has brought together more than 1,500 participants, and hundreds of current employees of KMG International (Rompetrol) group companies are former participants of the programs. training.
Rompetrol Rafinare operates the Petromidia Năvodari refinery, the largest crude oil refining capacity in Romania, and the Vega Ploiești refinery, the only national producer of bitumen and ecological solvents.
Rominserv was born in 2001 from the merger of the Construction and Supervision Division within Rompetrol, with the Mechanical-Energy Division within the Petromidia refinery, it is the general contractor of the KMG International Group.
Midia Marine Terminal is the operator of the Group’s crude oil supply and storage chain, including the offshore terminal, a system designed to transfer crude oil to/from tankers with a capacity of between 60,000 TDW and 165,000 TDW.
Rompetrol Quality Control is the laboratory company created in 2004 within the Petromidia Refinery, which offers the full range of services for the analysis of petroleum products, environmental factors, harmful assessment in the workplace, analysis of petrochemicals, as well as analysis of biofuels.
