OSWEGO – In response to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s directive regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, the Oswego County Social Services Department has closed its one-stop Oswego County career centers in Fulton, and the Career Center of the Department of Social Services, Mexico effective Tuesday, March 17. The centers will be closed until at least April 15.
Social Services Commissioner Stacy Alvord said the Department of Social Services will continue to see walk-in people and people with urgent needs requiring a face-to-face meeting.
“All of the program’s services are available over the phone, but we anticipate that our phone response time may be slow as we are inundated with calls,” Alvord said. “We encourage people to contact us by email or phone. “
